Directions
Feeding Directions:
This feed was developed to provide complete and balanced nutrition for Whitetail deer, Mule deer and exotic deer in confinement. It can also be fed to free ranging animals when forage in the native habitat may be limited.
1. Feed free-choice to deer. Consumption will vary according to age, sex, climate, and physiological state but should be in the range of two to four pounds per 100 pounds of body weight.
2. It is usually not necessary to feed hay free-choice with this product. If behavioral problems such as chewing fences,hair-pulling, etc., are evident, feed about 0.25 lb of hay per 100 pounds of body weight three times per week.
3. Deer Breeder 16 feed can be fed free-choice as a creep feed to fawns. Target consumption should be about one pound per 100 pounds of body weight until weaning.
4. Purina® Antler Advantage™ Deer Breeder 16 can be used as a complete weaning ration for fawns. Feed free-choice along with good quality hay after weaning. Once calves and fawns are eating pellets, feed hay only sparingly as described above for adults.
Caution:
Store in a dry, well-ventilated area free from rodents and insects. Never use moldy or insect-infested feed. Regulations for the feeding of big game can vary from state to state. Please check with your local game and fish department for the proper usage of this product.
Special Considerations:
Regulations for the feeding of big game can vary from state to state. Please check with your local game and fish department for the proper usage of this product.
Management Practices:
1. A feeding program is only as effective as the management practices. Actual results can vary depending upon feed intake, environmental conditions and the quality of the management practices
2. Provide water and Purina® AntlerMax® Deer Mineral at all times.
3. For best results space feeding stations uniformly throughout the property.
4. Number of feeding stations required depends on population density but in most cases one feeder per 25 – 30 deer is sufficient.
5. If deer density is not known, start with one feeding station per 100-200 acres and monitor feed consumption to determine if more feeding stations are needed.
6. Consult your veterinarian for a recommended herd health and parasite control programs.
